Rich pictures are drawings designed to harness all the exciting and dynamic properties of Live Illustration... except they aren't actually drawn live.

What We Do →

A hand holding a sign that says 'Sticky Notes' in bold letters.

A WORKSHOP

When we create a Rich Picture we start off with a virtual graphic facilitation workshop to pull as much information as we can from you. We have a rigorous yet flexible process to find out what you need. And what to draw.

A black-and-white sketch of a comic-style diagram showing three labeled items: a small 'Rich Pic' rectangle, a larger 'Richer Pic' square, and a 'Final Version' worksheet with icons of a person, a light bulb, and various shapes.

ITERATIONS

We gradually iterate the image creating prototype images as we work towards an image with visual storytelling that communicates the right thing.

A POLISHED IMAGE

The process is good for clients as they find new ways to articulate their ideas and when we are all happy we create a final image.

The Big Benefits

1. Complex Concepts

Creating a Rich Picture helps you explain a vision, strategy or operating model to your audience, internal or external.

2. Visual Storytelling

These hand drawn infographics have the human touch bringing your ideas to life.

3. Deeper Understanding

People at all levels of an organisation want to know where they are - a visual map shows them.

LET'S TALK
A detailed map of the Thames Tideway Tunnel project, illustrating various construction sites, ongoing improvements, and community engagement efforts along the river, with labels and illustrations describing features like embankments, wharves, and transportation.

Rich Picture FAQs

  • We find a 2hr session facilitated by us with short follow ups does the trick - but every picture is different.

  • Typically 1 or 2 iterations is enough - our process highlights not only the important info, but what level to set it at.

  • No, we can do the whole thing online as we have a lean process. That said - if you want a bigger workshop in person, talk to us.
